JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery

Justin Baldwin founded JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery in 1981 when he purchased 160 acres west of Paso Robles on California’s Central Coast and planted his estate vineyards. Since its inception, Justin has focused his efforts on producing world class Bordeaux style blends from the estate vineyards for the JUSTIN label. Justin is a pioneer in producing this style of wine on the Central Coast and his efforts have been rewarded with past and present vintages earning 90+ points by the major wine trade publications. More encompassing recognition has come from awards such as the Grand Sweepstakes award winner, Best of class, Best of Region, the coveted Pichon Lalande trophy for “World’s Best Blended Red Wine” and Wine Spectators Top 10 Wines of the World. Vintages have received numerous accolades by capturing Decanter Magazine’s “4 Stars”, Restaurant Wine’s “3 Forks” and Connoisseurs Guide’s” 3 Puffs”. Justin has consistently earned the praise of the wine press with recognition from the likes of Robert M. Parker Jr. naming Justin Baldwin one of his “Wine Heroes of the Year” and the “Star of Paso Robles”, the James Beard Foundations “Great American Winemaker Award”, Quarterly Review of Wine’s “Top 3 Cabernet Producers of the Year”, and Wine Enthusiast’s “Top Cabernet and Blended
Wine Producers List”.

Michele Chiarlo

Stefano Chiarlo born at Susa, 3 June 1969. In 1989 graduated he in enology at the Enological School of Alba.
After the national service in 1991 he started at the Michele Chiarlo as assistant of the enologist Roberto Bezzato, the enological supervision has always been made by Michele Chiarlo, founder of the winery. In the same time he started to take care of the management of the vineyards owned by the company with the agronomist Elio Ressia.

He frequently attended stages in different viticultural areas both in Italy and France. As from 1999 he is Michele Chiarlo’s wine maker with the cooperation of Gianni Meleni. His philosophy is to produce wines of great elegance respecting the variety and its terroir; wines rich but not dense or heavy making a very soft use of wood.
He also manages 50 ha of own vineyards in the Barolo and Barbera d’Asti area with the cooperation of the agronomist Federico Curtaz, a quality improvement is the result of a very scrupulous management. The results obtained have been renowned by many Italian and international media, two of them are the Gambero Rosso Guide, with no doubt the most important for Italian wines, that awarded for 5 years consecutive our Barolo Cerequio with 3 Bicchieri / 3 Glasses (the only Barolo with this continuity) and Wine Spectator in the “Readers Choice Award” elected Michele Chiarlo among the best ten Italian wine producers.

Davis Bynum

Originally distinguished as the first winery on Westside Road in Healdsburg, California, Davis Bynum was first to produce a single vineyard Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley. The vintage was 1973 and the grapes were from Joe Rochioli’s now prized vineyard. Today, more than forty years later, the heritage of Davis Bynum lives on through the hand crafted creation of single vineyard wines grown exclusively in Russian River Valley.that Heidi’s natural born talents led her to the wine industry. With great enthusiasm, a love for what she does, and an abundance of experience, Heidi’s instinctive gift of integrating the art and science of winemaking is unparalleled.
